The first afternoon we arrived at Bombay Hook, we took a drive around the loop, and ended up at Bear Swamp Pond, which as I indicated before, was one of the few places with any significant number of birds. As we pulled up, we met some birders from the U.K. who said they had seen a pair of Peregrine Falcons about 20 minutes before. That was good enough for me, so I went ahead and set up my gear, and waited, while we spoke with them. Over the next couple of hours, we did spot some Peregrine, usually pretty far away (so what else is new??), but one did come close enough to take a few shots.
