This is one of the most exotic creatures I've encountered, and we saw several of them during our stay in the Pantanal. It was a challenge getting this shot because of the huge swarms of little bugs that would hover around anything in the vicinity! You can see the cloud above the Anteater in the picture above. I would sometimes duck under the tripod to get some temporary relief, as they tended to hover at the highest point of objects. Fortunately, they didn't bite! A few grass stalks across this anteater were cloned out.
