We arrived in Grand Canyon National Park in the early afternoon, coming in from the East. We stopped along Route 64 at Desert View, Grandview Point, etc., and enjoyed the views, but the conditions were not very conducive to photography. Later that afternoon we went up to Yavapai Point, where this shot was taken. Clouds had rolled in, the sun was starting to get a little lower in the sky, and this is about the best shot I was able to get. I believe it was here I ran into a fellow D30 owner, and enjoyed a nice discussion with him about this wonderful camera. Canon 17-35 at 17 mm, ISO 100, f/10, 1/100 second (hand-held).
