Our 'eagle-eyed' guide spotted several sloths as we drove toward Arenal, and we stopped to try and photograph them. At this particular stop, we saw 2 of them, both of which were fairly active for a period of time. The one in this shot was very far away, and unfortunately the sky behind him was cloudy, with no sunlight on him. But given the adverse circumstances, I was pretty pleased with the shots I was able to get. If his fur looks a bit green, that is actually the way it was, and this adds a lot to the camouflage he gets, so that he can almost disappear in the trees, matching the bark and colors incredibly well.
