We were on our way our of Carara, washing our boots off in a small creek, when someone spotted this lizard, working on swallowing a frog it had apparently just caught. A number of us were able to take quite a few shots as it tried to position it right to be swallowed. If you like carefully, you can see the frog's eye, just below and to the left of the lizard's eye. A very hearty thank you to James Christensen (www.PrimevalNature.com), who generously took his time to identify both the lizard and the frog here!
