We were driving from Jaco to Manuel Antonio, and had the bus roof hatch open, with the air conditioning off, to prevent lens fogging problems that had cropped up in the warmer and more humid Pacific coast environment. As we were noisily driving down the road, Marco, whose ears are just as incredible as his eyes, stopped his little mini-talk to us about the area, and had the bus pull off the road. He had somehow heard a troop of Squirrel Monkeys in the trees overhead, and we were able to watch and shoot them for quite a while. In my last 3 trips to Costa Rica, we had only seen Squirrel Monkeys one time before, with very limited shooting opportunity, so I was pretty excited about this.
