We have seen this species a few times on past trips, but always in situations making shooting difficult. These are dark birds, and we typically see them in the trees, heavily backlit. I selected my position to minimize the presence of bright sky, and used fill-flash (using FEL) to throw some light on the subject. Interestingly, these birds are typically 'skittish' in the wild, while there were several individuals at the La Paz Aviary that were quite the opposite, following people around, almost harassing them. I got some nice images, including some tight head-shots at La Paz, but haven't posted these shots because it was a bit 'too easy.'
