Not longer after we checked into our room at Maquenque, Janice spotted some activity in a tree directly outside the back porch, and discovered it was a family of Great Kiskadee. We spent some time watching the 2 adults repeatedly fly in with food, often perching briefly on a branch, before heading into the nest to feed the chicks. We did this in the early morning, before breakfast, and light was quite limited (necessitating the 1600 ISO used here). This one appears to have a Cicada of some sort in its beak.
