I wanted to start this Gallery with my favorite shot from the whole trip.  This was at the very end of one of my favorite ways to shoot in Costa Rica - exploring the Tarcoles River by boat.  We had seen the same or similar Motmot earlier in the trip, posing for us with a large moth in its mouth (also posted here), and when we returned to the same area to get off the boat, I spotted this one with a large grasshopper.  I quickly set up my gear on the shore, and took a number of shots.
