There was a group of both Scarlet and Blue and Gold Macaws in some trees behind some stores on a street we passed as we traveled from Arenal to the Pacific Coast, and we stopped for a while to photograph them.  The birds were in trees directly above us, making it a bit uncomfortable as we were shooting almost straight up, but they were fairly close, and busy eating, playing with each other, etc.
