The wetlands area at Solimar, where we made a several hour stop en route from Arenal to the Pacific coast, was quite enjoyable and productive.  We drove around the grounds in our bus, stopping when birds and animals were spotted.  We saw quite a few of these Tiger Herons - this particular one was a fair distance away, and surprisingly well camouflaged.
