We explored a shaded area at Solimar, where we saw Motmots, Owls, and one of the guides found this Nightjar on a branch in a tree above us. Once again it was difficult to get an acceptable shooting angle, but fortunately the Nightjar stayed perfectly still (which also allowed me to shoot at 1/200 second!). Along with the Common Pauraque we saw at Arenal, this was the second species of Nightjar I saw and photographed on this trip.
