This was taken from within Canyon de Chelly - we hired a local guide to take us in, and we really glad we did. Seeing the Canyon from the North and South Rim drives is very worthwhile, but really doesn't give you a feel for the scale and history of this unique location. Our guide spent a full morning with us, giving us great views of the Canyon, and perspective on the people and their history. I had the camera pointed virtually straight up, and I positioned myself to just catch the glint of the morning sun at the Canyon edge.
