As I indicated before, the number and variety of birds was fairly limited at Ding Darling the few days I was there, but as I drove around the Wildlife Loop, I came across this nicely colored Tricolored Heron, in fairly nice light, a moderate way off. He didn't feel threatened, and allowed me to get out my gear, set up, and snap a few photos.
