Redwinged Blackbird

I found several nesting Redwinged Blackbirds in some bushes that I spent some time trying to get near enough to photograph. They were very perturbed about my closeness to the nest, and actually 'strafed' a few people as they rode by on their bicycles. They didn't let me get close very often, and considered myself lucky to get a few tight shots. I would have preferred more of a profile, to capture the yellow fringe on the wing markings, but with limited time, this is the best I could get. Canon 100-400 at 400mm, ISO 100, f/5.6 and 1/250 second (hand-held).
