Any trip to Bar Harbor, Maine needs to include either a sunrise or sunset on Cadillac Mountain, the first place in the U.S. to see the rising sun.  I haven't done much experimentation with "HDR" (High Dynamic Range) photography, where several images are taken with different exposure settings, and later combined in Photoshop to achieve a much wider tonal range than can be achieved with any single exposure.  As shown above, I used 4 exposures, each 1 stop apart, to create this photograph.  I didn't want to create an 'artificial' looking image, which is easily done if the settings are too aggressive, but tried to recreate the scene as I recalled it in my mind's eye.
