Froghopper (Family Cercopidae) (I.D. courtesy of Peter May)

Slightly larger than the Leaf Hopper this was perhaps 4 mm in length, a little broader, with a different color scheme. Thanks to Peter May, it is now correctly identified as a Froghopper. He also provided some additional information on this bug: "As larvae, some froghoppers produce masses of foam and are called spittlebugs." This shot was taken at f/16 using the set-up described on the Macro Gallery Home Page.
