Southeastern Five-lined Skink (Eumeces inexpectatus) (I.D. Courtesy of my son Sam)

My son Sam caught this skink while visiting us a few weeks ago. He put him on a piece of bark, and I quickly snapped a few shots. This was a natural light shot, in the shade, toward the end of the day, and there wasn't time to set up my macro flash equipment. Canon 100 Macro lens, ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/50 second.
