I didn't see many of these birds, but grabbed a quick shot of one as I was heading back to the car after shooting the Oystercatchers, White-faced Herons, etc. Special thanks to Derek Onley who emailed me with the correct identification here. I originally thought it was a New Zealand Dotterel, but he contacted me and identified it as a Banded Dotterel.
