This was taken at Huntington Beach State Park, under more relaxed conditions (meaning no bugs), and so I was able to not screw up the exposure. This actually might look nice printed and displayed side by side with the 'dark' version of the Snowy Egret. Canon 100-400, 1.4x II TC, at 420 mm, ISO 200, f/8, 1/500 second, Arca-Swiss Ballhead/Wimberley Sidekick/Gitzo Tripod (manual mode, manual focus).
