One of the consequences of the Road to the Sun being closed at its midpoint is that we had to take the long way to get from St. Mary's Lodge on the east to the Lake McDonald Lodge on the west. Checking our guide books, we learned of an overlook called "Goat Lick" with often had Mountain Goats, so we made a stop, and sure enough they were there. It was mid-day, in bright sun, and quite a distance away, but something is better than nothing! Even with the 600L and 1.4x TC, this shot is still cropped a fair amount.
