Canyon Light Shafts 2

As the sun moved through the sky above-ground, the angle and diameter of the light shaft gradually shifted and narrowed, until it finally disappeared. The shot above was taken toward the end, and you can see how much narrower the beam is compared to the first shot.

This was clearly the climax of the trip for me - one of those rare opportunities when I happened to be in the right place at the right time, with the right tools for the job. Canon 17-35 at 24 mm, ISO 100, f/11, 4 seconds.
