As I explained before, the eagle area was a bit better lit, although this shot was still taken relatively early, and the light wasn't all that bright yet. He had his feathers a but 'ruffled' here, as opposed to the smoother, laid-down appearance they often have. Canon 100-400 at 400 mm, ISO 400, f/8, 1/160 second, manual mode, tripod used.
