Manual Exposure

We only saw this beautiful bird a couple of times during our shoot at Wakodahatchee, but this one gave me a pretty good opportunity.  I had just shot in an area with more shade, and had forgotten to readjust my (Manual) exposure settings, and was afraid I had overexposed this shot beyond recovery.  But thanks to shooting raw, and adjustments in Camera Raw, I was able to salvage the shot.  I also cloned out a dead brown leaf to the right of the Gallinule's head which lessened the visual impact of this photo.
