Finally, the view we were waiting for! A beautiful valley, with a distant view of "West Temple" and "Tower of the Virgins." A portion of the switch-back nature of Route 9 west of the Tunnel can be seen at about the middle of the picture. Canon 17-35L at 17 mm, ISO 100, f/8, 1/80 second (hand-held).

I thought this would be a great place to shoot at sunrise, so the next morning I climbed the trail in the dark, flashlight in hand, and was set up by 6:00 am. I got a few nice shots, but nothing outstanding or worth posting here. By the time the sun gets up high enough over the canyon behind, it has already lost much of the warm sunrise color, so the shots weren't quite as nice as I had been hoping.
