This was taken the second afternoon we spent in the Jaco Beach area, when we returned to the same beach where had had such a great time with the Scarlet Macaws the previous day. Not surprisingly, our luck had run out, and the macaws were nowhere to be seen. We did hang around for a while, hoping for their return, and did get to see some other new species as a result. The Yellow-naped Parrot above is one of these. Conditions were not nearly as ideal as the prior day, with cloudy skies, and no sun, requiring me to crank my camera up to ISO 1600 to get adequate shutter speeds. We also saw a Crested Cara Cara, but I didn't include any shots here.
