Many of the birds at Anhinga Trail are very accustomed to people and photographers, and this Anhinga was very comfortable where it was, and didn't budge as I walked by with my 600 and tripod. So I thought I'd put him to the test, and see how close he'd let me get. So I put on my 100mm macro lens, and took shots as I came in closer and closer. This shot is the result, and is the un-cropped full frame image. The detail in the eye is just exquisite.
