I had never seen owl chicks in the wild, so this was a real treat. Most of the time they stayed relatively hidden and obscured within the nest, but occasionally ventured out allowing us some photo opportunities. This is a fairly highly cropped image; why I didn't think to put on the 2x teleconverter, I'll never know....
