During our visit visit to Huntington Beach State Park, there was a large group of Wood Storks in a small group of trees. By chance, I was on the opposite side of the lake when they decided to take off together, and I was able to get a few shots, although they were still a fair ways off. Canon 100-400 with Canon 1.4x II Teleconverter at 435 mm, ISO 200, f/8, 1/500 second, Wimberley Sidekick/Arca Swiss Ballhead/Gitzo Tripod (manual mode, manual focus).
