We saw quite a few of these mockingbirds, which are known for their curiosity - I have some shots of them on a log where my wife was sitting, looking into and pecking at her camera/lens at her side. The presence of the cactus here (and elsewhere on the islands) serves as a reminder that for the most part, the Galapagos is a somehwat barren, desert-like environment.
