This was the only chance we had to shoot flamingos, and for the most part they were pretty far away. This is a moderate crop of the original frame, taken when one of them came the closest to us. I was surprised to see the 340 mm focal length in the EXIF data - this was clearly unintentional. The push-pull zoom of my 100-400 got a little sticky a couple of times, and I must have thought it was fully extended, when it actually wasn't. In any case, they were beautiful to see.
