We were in one of the panga's, exploring a wonderful little lagoon, which had penguins and turtles swimming in the water. Some, including my wife, were kayaking in this area. I stayed in the panga to shoot what we could find. We came across this Striated Heron, the one and only time we saw one of these in the vegetation along the shore. As the shooting specs indicate, there wasn't much light there, and I really wish I could have used flash. But I just cranked up the ISO, held as steady as I could, and took a number of shots.
