As we drove around the roads in the Surat Bay area, I spotted a pair of these Pied Stilts feeding in the mud flats. They were quite a distance away, and the skies were still completely overcast, so light was quite a problem. Flash didn't spook these guys, but at the distance I was shooting, and at f/11, I don't know if it did any good. But not having any shots of this species, I put on the 2x, and got what I could. Even with the 2x, I had to crop the image about 50% to come up with the image above.
