Our ride through the Braulio Carrillo National Park in the Central Mountain range was quite enjoyable. Because of the elevation and climate, this area is usually quite foggy and misty (as it was during our first trip there in March, 2004). But we were very fortunate to have mostly clear skies, with excellent views of the surrounding mountains and country-side. Our guide had us stop at the location shown here, where there is an unusual confluence between a fairly silty river, and one that was quite clear.
