This was back near the entrance, as we waited for the rest of the group to assemble to continue our trip to San Jose. Somebody spotted this beauty just off one of the walkways, and I hurried out to shoot it. This time I remembered the usefulness of FEL (Flash Exposure Lock), and with FEC set to 0, I placed the center Focus Point on the bird's chest, and hit the FEL button. This locked in an accurate flash exposure, and then I recomposed and took several shots right before it started raining.
